A stack is the set of languages, frameworks, and databases a product is built on: the frontend, the backend, the database, and the infrastructure around them. The choice matters because it decides how fast the product is to build now, how expensive it is to change later, and how easy it is to hire for. A wrong-for-the-job stack shows up at month six, not week one.
We have defaults, not dogma. Angular or React on the front, Node.js or .NET on the back, PostgreSQL for the database. But we pick the stack that fits the problem and your team. If your engineers already know Vue and Laravel, forcing them onto our defaults adds risk, not value. We will tell you honestly what we would choose and why.
Yes. A large share of our work is taking over or extending an existing codebase. We start with a code audit: architecture, technical debt, test coverage, dependency health. Then we agree on a direction before changing anything. We have inherited codebases across Angular 2 through 19, .NET Framework through .NET 9, and PHP through modern Laravel.
Neither in isolation. A fast backend behind a slow, confusing interface is a bad product; a polished interface on a backend that falls over at 100 concurrent users is worse. We design the data model and API contract first, then the interface that sits on top, so the two are built to fit rather than negotiated later.
Team fit and hiring pool usually break the tie. If two options are technically close, we pick the one your team can maintain without us, and the one you can hire for locally later. We would rather you own a slightly less exciting stack you can run yourselves than a perfect one you depend on us for.
