COMPASS for Autism — Clinical Research Platform (US)

COMPASS for Autism is a research group at Ball State University focused on improving outcomes for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders. Teamseven built their web application platform — a clinical tool used by researchers, consultants, educators, and parents across the United States to build personalised support profiles and manage intervention research data.

We also built the software platform for Sharewear — a US company developing NFC-based safety wearables for children, seniors, and individuals with medical conditions or special needs. Sharewear's wearables give vulnerable people a voice when they need it most; we built the software that makes them work. Two healthcare technology products, one development partner.

Do you build HIPAA-compliant software?

We build with HIPAA requirements in mind for US healthcare clients — data encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, audit trails, and minimum necessary data principles. We're a development agency, not a compliance consultant; for formal HIPAA certification we recommend working with a specialist compliance firm alongside us.

Can you integrate with EHR systems?

Yes — EHR integration is possible via HL7/FHIR APIs where the EHR supports it. The complexity depends significantly on which EHR system and what level of integration is required. We assess this during discovery before including it in a project estimate.

Do you build medical device software?
