Tracking Early Years Progress Without More Paperwork

Anyone who has worked in early years knows the tension. The most valuable moments are the small ones: a child counting for the first time, sharing without being asked, trying a new word. Capturing them properly as evidence, linked to the right framework, can turn a two-minute observation into a fifteen-minute admin task.

E2P+SEND, the assessment platform we built for UK schools, set out to fix that. It was used by 352 UK schools and more than 100,000 students.

Can teachers record observations on a tablet or phone?

Yes, and they should. Quick capture on the device in hand, with a photo and a short note, is what keeps observation from becoming paperwork.

Does tracking software replace teacher judgement?

No. It removes the admin around judgement. Teachers still decide what matters; the software makes it quick to record and easy to find later.
