We built COMPASS for Autism for a PhD-led programme: trainers, consultants, teachers and parents follow each child’s plan through surveys, consultations and coaching over a year. COMPASS is still a client.

Plans are set yearly and reviewed quarterly. Between reviews, trainers, consultants, teachers and parents each see a different part of the child’s week, and surveys are how those views come together.

Trainers, consultants, teachers and parents, each with their own view of the same child’s plan. The programme was led by a PhD researcher, and COMPASS is still a client.
How do you handle security?
Every build follows the OWASP Top 10, with encryption for sensitive data and two-factor login included as standard. We have built systems that follow GDPR and HIPAA data-handling rules. We hold no security certifications, and we will say so if an auditor asks.
How much does software like COMPASS cost?
The smallest project we take on is $5,000. Multi-role platforms with plans, surveys and reporting usually land between $10,000 and $30,000.
What happens after launch?
Bug fixes are free for two months. After that, maintenance is $700 a month. New features are quoted as you need them, or you can have a dedicated engineer from $2,500 a month.
Who owns the code?
You do. At handover you get the Git repositories and written documentation. There is nothing tying the software back to us, so you can take it to an in-house team whenever you like.
Who will I talk to, and how often?
Rehan, one of our two founders, is your day-to-day contact. You get updates on Slack twice a week and can see the code in your repository at any time. We split working hours between us to cover US, UK and Australian time zones, and we usually reply within an hour, sometimes the next morning.
